Birds in Alaska are indicator species of our world's health...

Birds hold up the health of ecosystems around the world - come learn why.

Indicator species paint a story about the overall health of an ecosystem – since many birds in Alaska are migratory, some spanning the globe from Tierra del Fuego in South America, or New Zealand, we can tell how ecosystems here in Alaska and across the world are doing based on bird species’ success or decline.

Our tour includes admission to the world-class, 200-acre Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center – so when guests do a tour with us, they not only get first-hand understanding of the importance of birds to our world’s health, they are supporting conservation efforts and local non-profits dedicated to ensuring the survival of birds and preserving the health of local ecosystems for all wildlife and humans alike to thrive.
