Who We Are, What We Do

One Touch Of Nature Makes The Whole World Kin

July 30, 2022

After years of planning and dreaming, and navigating the ups and downs of the pandemic, we are finally ready to start offering our curated eco tours in Alaska and beyond. We created this website, Eco Adventures Alaska, to display our curated series of very special, once-in-a-lifetime eco adventures we have been planning in Alaska and around the world.

We are excited to roll out a series of day eco-hiking tours, multi-day and overnight bike-packing and backpacking trips, as well as ongoing programs like our Women Outdoors Group, our “Five-Dollar Workshops”, “BAB-BAB Cafe (Bring a Baby, Bring a Beverage), trips in Alaska and Abroad that engage in partnerships with local organizations that share our values and approach toward eco-touring, Teen peer-leadership expeditions and groups, MTB Clubs, and much more!

Check out our “Who We Are” page to learn more about us, meet our team, and what drives us to do what we do.

Our Eco-Adventures

Explore the world. Keep it wild and beautiful.

Women's Rock Climbing Retreat & Monarch Butterfly Experience

Queretaro, Mexico -- Join a group of like-minded women and learn a new set of skills that are exhilarating and empowering. Choose from level 1 - novice/beginners, and level 2 - advanced, rock climbing courses. In between climbing, we will meet local guides to explore the winter home of the Monarch Butterfly, now listed as an endangered species, and work together to track the tagged butterflies.

Alaska Summer Teen Eco-Expedition plus Marine Mammal and Seabird Study

For 16 days a group of intrepid teens will embark on the adventure of a lifetime! Join Into the Woods Alaska as we backpack one of the most iconic Alaskan thru-hikes in the Alaskan Wilderness, learning wilderness skills and local ecology on the way, and finish with a sea kayaking course and marine mammal and seabird study in beautiful, wild, Resurrection Bay.

Winter Scuba Diving Certification, Kayak Course, and Marine Mammal and Seabird Study in Mexico

This experience is the warm counterpoint to the same mammals and birds we may witness in Alaska's Resurrection Bay during the summer. Whales and birds come to the ecologically rich and diverse waters around Puerto Vallarta to rear young and nest. We team up with local guides to explore the culture, ecology, and gain certifications in the warm and beautiful waters of the Mexican Pacific.

They alighted with ethereal wings of orange and black. On a heaven-borne highway, they made countless journeys across a continent, between arctic tundras and over farm fields. They nested like thousands of glistening ornaments on Mexican pines, waiting. How long can they hold on?
